When I talk with people about what I do, I mention that I love to photograph women. Usually, the immediate reaction goes straight to boudoir photography, then I find myself getting all the goosebumps when I describe what it actually is and why I love it so much.
For some clients, baring their assets for the camera is what they define as the ultimate empowering session. There is a lot to be said about the soul-transforming experience it can be.
For others, it is a matter of legacy. From portraits for the sake of posterity, to celebrating milestones and relationships, these, too, hold a special place in my heart.
Aside from a clean look with well thought out lighting and posing, the special sauce is a heaping spoonful of YOU.
When I receive an inquiry for a portrait session, one of the first things I ask is “how do you want to be photographed?” What that means is, how do you want to look and feel, and what particular goals, if yet defined, do you have? As we talk during our discovery call, I learn a few things about you, and we begin to plan.
